"Nins" — the Spanish word for children — and these 12 small wooden figures carry that name beautifully. Smooth to the touch, warm in the hand, and utterly open to interpretation, each Nin is whatever a child imagines it to be.

A parent. A friend. A hero. A stranger. With no fixed face, gender or role, Nins invite children to project their own stories, emotions and understanding of the world onto each figure — making them one of the most quietly powerful toys in any playroom.

Use them for small world play, storytelling, counting, sorting, or simply lining them up by colour. The play is always led by the child.

Grapat Toys is a small family-run workshop in the sun-drenched region of Catalonia, northern Spain — born from the passion of owners Casiana and Jordi. Inspired by Waldorf principles, every piece is crafted from locally-sourced sustainable timber, finished with water-based dyes, and packaged in fully recycled materials.
